A commission for Fearie. I couldn't resist, her character sounded so pretty!
Finished, colored picture on deviantart. And as usual I like the sketch better XD

indigo child
Two days ago I was at Times Square in Hong Kong - there's this exhibition called "Indigo Child" being held there this month! It's by a local artist called Carrie Chau. Everything was set up so prettily and I thought it was great! Luckily I had my camera with me:

They added this beautiful arc thing with lanterns over the escalators.
And here's a short video of an interview with Carrie Chau. Look at how she holds her pen near the end!

drip drip glub glub
I finished my first large piece for 'Growing up'! This'll be my final piece for this quarter. I'm hardly happy with it, but I don't have time to do a new piece. I'll do a better one next time! *determined arm pump!*
Here's one piece of the large painting the mural painting club has been working on for the past two months:
That's the section our group was working on! :D glub glub

HOMERUN BOOGIE
Phew! It's over!
It was a pretty small event, but I had fun overall, and it was a first-time thing for me - from signing up for a table, to drawing my comic, to getting it printed and then trying to get people to buy it! XD; I only sold a few copies, but it was truly an awesome feeling whenever someone came over and looked at my stuff. 8D

Comic and badges! Here's a peek at the first page:
Comics and collectibles from the other artists there:
Yeah, again, it was a great experience. I wasn't satisfied with my comic in the end, but I'm glad I got it done and had something to sell at the event! 8D

HR Boogie Preparations!
HomeRun Boogie is this Sunday!
Ohmanohman, I am so excited! I just received my event map and information, and the artist pass is sitting in my mailbox in Hong Kong probably right about now. Mweee. I'm at table 14 and I shall be selling badges and (hopefully!) a short comic.
Comic: "Go Fetch!"
B5 size, 4 pages in black and white. Inside text will be in Traditional Chinese.
I'm currently rushing to try to get this printed in time for Sunday, hopefully it can be done!

Environment prelim. pieces
Our topic for art class was environment. Here are the preliminary, experimental type pieces I did. It feels really good to work with traditional!
Acrylic paint, on a piece of wood broken off a board.
Ink wash on watercolor paper.
And this last one is a more abstract experiment - sort of was influenced by Judy Watson, who I had to research for a presentation. This one was fun because I had no idea what I was doing and I didn't worry about anything. I just built the texture up with glue, paper and scraps underneath.
