After looking up the title I found that it's actually named after a song by Rasputina, which is about, well, a draconian crackdown; then I began imagining this crazy lady army that goes around brainwashing the community and arresting innocents... and uh.. this drawing just sort of popped out from there! Follow the leader
"Follow the leader" is this game Kitty and I play on MSN if we're in a drawing mood - using the handwriting tool, one person draws a character of theirs, and the other person has to draw the same pose or situation, using their own character. My baby
A piece based on those early fetus paintings I did. Submitting this for one of my final pieces. I'm pretty happy with it overall, but the coloring almost borders on too shiny and glowy and not really the chunky solid style I'm more fond of.. what do you guys think?Texture from cgtextures.

fetuses (blood)
I was thinking about the different stages of life for my art topic for school, and somehow ended up painting these unborn babies.
These next two were done after I had looked up photos, so you can see the difference. As a future warning to anyone who reads this, you do not want to search "fetus" in Google images unless you have a strong tolerance for blood. Trust me. XD;

hana kanzashi
Commission for WinterFae on Subeta of her geisha character. I haven't done anime style in a while, so this took forever - but I do really like how it turned out!

Eee! Today I am a happy person. :D Remember all those commissions I did back in August? Well, I used the money and sP I earned from that to buy myself some art of Lucy! Over the past 2 weeks I've been scouting for willing artists. So here are the lovely drawings I've gotten so far:
Headshot by Quiched on Subeta - I love how crisp and professional her work is! The clean neckline cutoff rather than just making the neck fade away, the texture overlay, all details that complete this. Plus Lucy's hair looks so gorgeous here X3
xcrain kindly did me this drawing for free when she saw my thread on Subeta :) So nice of her! This is like, Lucy at her cutest and most rabbity. Hehe. XD
Another surprise gift, from Kitty! I'm so lucky that my best friends are artists :) Anyway I keep saying this, but this picture reminds me of sunshine and honey. She just seems to glow.
This one's from Joysuke, fellow Hong-Konger! She was really nice and professional and she finished the drawing in less than 2 days. And her coloring reminds me so much of Odin Sphere... which is what inspired me to create Lucy in the first place! XD
This one is by figsf, whose cartoons I've fallen in love with since I saw his gallery! It's so interesting to see Lucy transformed into his style. I absolutely love this look for her.
Anyway, do check all those awesome people out. Enjoy! :D

back to school stuff!
I've been unhappy with anything I've done for art class this whole year so far.. so this semester I'm gonna just PUMP these pieces out and hope something good comes out 8DD I am still very much a beginner in painting... just experimenting with technique and trying to develop a method of doing this right now.
