Music class doodles

A ripped-out piece of my school music book is put to good use. I really like how the face on that Taloya one turned out.

new fairy character

She's not from the Odin Sphere world, just some fairy. My urge to draw fairies was definitely Mercedes' fault though. XD Will post more of this new character when her design is done. Still fiddling with the clothes atm. Trying to base her design off daffodils.

Fairy Princess Mercedes

Odin Sphere is the game that I lusted for before it got released, actually bought the legal version of, and played obsessively for a week when I finally stole Jordan's baby got my hands on a PS2.

Mercedes is probably my favorite character, though I can't quite decide between her and Gwendolyn.

process of Danielle

Yesterday I felt like painting something more realistic with my acrylics. I had a piece of cardboard in my room so I thought I'd use that.

Initial pencil sketch. The reference image is a stock photo from here.

You can see a scan of the finished version here. It took 3 hours in total and was really fun. While painting it, I tried to use a big brush and make loose strokes. I think I'll try a male portrait next time.

triple scoop

I have arts and crafts with Ms Leung on Thursdays.

We started this a couple weeks ago and it just got etched into the board. I started filling in the colors today. She gave me some ink and some stuff that you mix together to get a shiny, stained glass effect. The stuff takes forever to apply though.

Anyway, the etching is looking somewhat hideous, (and my choice of colors isn't helping XD) but I liked the initial sketch, so I will just post a photo of both of these here. Hopefully, the etching will look better when it's colored and finished!

Welcome!

I'm starting this drawing blog to try to get myself to produce quality sketches on a regular basis. I do a lot of doodles that aren't polished enough to be uploaded to my gallery. Hopefully, this will give me a place to store all my scraps and keep track of how often I am making them!

Venus and I are working on producing some T-shirts with pictures of various dog breeds on them. Some border collie sketches from yesterday's conversation:
