Slimer!

Hehe, I was reminded of Ghostbusters today and had the urge to draw Slimer. :) He's a fantastic subject, so much focus on the face - my favorite part! I never realised before, but he looks a lot like the Grinch.Getting a bit braver with these ones! XD

chimaera, swordsman, mazoku

Giving the dudes of Slayers some love. Of course, Zel is my favorite! Gourry is actually surprisingly feminine-looking for the big jock swordsman he's supposed to be - I mean, look at the dude's eyelashes XD Not to mention the long blonde hair! And that... bra-shaped breast armor...

Ohman, this show was so awesome. I should really finish TRY sometime.

Follow the leader

"Follow the leader" is this game Kitty and I play on MSN if we're in a drawing mood - using the handwriting tool, one person draws a character of theirs, and the other person has to draw the same pose or situation, using their own character. Kitty, Jenna and I played this around a month ago - here are some of the drawings I did:

Here's a goofy little thing I did a few days ago, of the two cavaliers from Fire Emblem 7. Thanks to an inside joke between Squish and I, and ever since I saw omgdragonfly's charming fanart of Geoffrey and Kieran, the idea of two honorable knights getting wasted has always been hilarious to me! XD

Yesterday was my last day at school. I just sketched and painted my friends in art class. Kitty, Squish and Jordan, I'll miss you guys!

the tomboy, the baldie and the bean

I drew this picture of Taloya while I was in hospital. Somehow, as a result Taloya kind of looks like she just recovered from sickness as well. I like the gentleness it came out with.
I never realized before, but Taloya is one of my only characters who really makes me happy. I feel that I have a very personal connection with her.
Hanai from Ookiku Furikabutte - I love him. Anyway, this was just a quick doodle experimenting with brushes in Photoshop.
Finally, here are three of my characters - there's Bean the hyksi (I forgot his buckteeth! How could I?) at the top, and below are a girl and boy I've drawn a couple of times, whom I still haven't named. XD

the big Vancouver art dump

Well, I decided to get off my butt and upload the stuff I did in art camp in July. Pardon the image quality of a lot of these... the pictures don't fit in my scanner, and my camera shots were of less than desirable quality XD;

My bag, done in conte:
Arm and foot studies, drawing from a male nude model. His name was Steve and he was kinda tubby and seemed like a nice guy.
Homework assignment: Design a poster for your own imaginary movie. Mine is an animation film about an octopus mama who needs a chill pill! 8D

There is some other stuff I haven't uploaded as well, but this is most of the better drawings :) That is all. It was a really awesome course!

Started out as a color pencil test, and then ended up picking the most simple sketch I had done and messing with it on the computer. I think the end result is cute. XD
