Kitty and I decided to open a thread on Subeta to sell portrait commissions. She is doing pixel portraits, and I am doing these painty ones. Pixel/painted portraits - PPP!

This one was a warmup since I haven't done them portraits in a while. Here is Kitty's Dyrim, who I recently fell in love with. XD

Mietis comic characters

I won't be able to post much over the next few days because I'm over in Shanghai with no scanner and no tablet. But here are some character drawings I did a few weeks ago. I'm collaborating with Jenna, Osiris-Lee and Cal to make a comic - they're writing the story, and I'm putting it into comic format. Left to right: Becca belongs to Osi, Amber is Cal's, and Perlain 'n' Marley are Jenna's.

We worked on landscape paintings in art class today... my painting sucked, but I did this fat little birdy after I was done with the landscape 8D

Gorgeous backgrounds from anime films

I got a copy of 24格 (24 frame) magazine yesterday. There was an article featuring these beautiful background paintings by Makoto Shinkai. Here are some scans!

Black Knights (fangirlism warning.)

I am currently obsessing over Code Geass. UNGHHH it's so awesome. Can't wait to see the rest of season 2.

So. I love the Order of the Black Knights. I like these three from the main group in particular.

Ougi, the dork with the 70's hairdo, is the cute "nice guy" who is somewhat out of place in the war situation. He's just trying to make a difference in the world. Kallen... I love how she seems so independent and stubborn most of the time, yet she's really completely devoted to Zero. And Tamaki on the far right there is just a crude wise-ass who gets everyone else in trouble. XD but that's why I love him.

It was hard to un-animefy them and keep their charm at the same time! Not sure I pulled Kallen off. I do love their original character designs by CLAMP... ... Those two frozen in the background there was my favorite part of the episode. :D

Another late night

Tonight was spent finishing this. I thought the background looked pretty nice (but grahh, perspective ):) and some of it got covered up by the figures, so here it is by itself.

I'm halfway through an episode of the second season of Code Geass, and the second half is loading. Painstakingly slowly. Why must my internet connection torment me so?
The bottom one is my fursona. Still trying to get a feel for drawing her in a more shiba inu-ish way.

Chris

I drew me and Kitty's old character, Chris Muss (bad pun intended) in some different styles. Thought it would be a fun experiment.
I was lazy by the time I got to the Disney style one. (you can probably tell XDD) The airbrush type coloring that is used in their merchandise art doesn't really appeal to me, for some reason.

Also, I enjoyed drawing the anime one way too much. Leave me alone! D':

Wings.

I finished my fairy character today. :) Here are some shiny butterfly wings because they are fun!
