A painting in progress for school - I'm changing my direction a bit, and taking a look at filial cannibalism in hamsters! So far this one is really tough to tackle and I keep on reworking it, reworking all the different parts. I like the visual of the mother hamster literally just STUFFING her own baby into her mouth though. Hope I can make the image work.

HAHAHAH. i'm sorry to say but i laughed. hard. i'm getting some hamsters soon so this is pretty funny to me now.
i think it's a very original take on motherhood. even though i liked the first ones you posted, this is also really cool. i think it evokes more emotion though, so i say stick with it. my personal favorite is the second one because the baby hamster just looks so cool.
